08/08/2016

Following the woodland drive through the Booderee National Park and two very special places awaits; Kullindi Homestead and the Bay of Plenty Lodges.

Kullindi Homestead

Established in 1880 this heritage listed property is only two and a half hours’ drive from Sydney and is a perfect destination for an intimate, personal wedding or event. Kullindi Homestead is perched on 5 acres of private, spacious ground and on the edge of the Sussex Inlet Waterway. You are able to have your wedding marquee erected days before your special day to allow for a relaxing decoration of your reception venue. The homestead can accommodate up to 20 overnight guests and there’s many other accommodation options nearby including…

Things to know:

  • Kullindi Homestead has a great space for a marquee wedding right on the water.
  • There is not really a restriction on the size of the marquee the area is nice and large and allows for the marquee to be placed within a good distance from the house to access power and amenities and still take in the view and have a ceremony in front of the marquee near the water.
  • This is a DIY venue where most items will need to be bought in including marquee, furniture, catering tent, catering equipment, ovens and lighting but allows you to create your special day from the ground up.
  • As Jervis Bay Territory is part of the ACT, all marriages at Kullindi Homestead and Bay of Plenty Lodges must be registered in the ACT.
